Hi there!

My name’s Matt. I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. I’m a 2022 Yale School of Drama graduate with an MFA in Acting. There, I was made recipient of the Hoenig Theatre Artist Scholarship in 2020, as well as Jerome L. Greene Fellow in 2020-2021. During my training, I appeared in Jeremy O. Harris’ YELL: a “documentary” of my time here, Rudi Goblen’s world-premier of Green Suga Bloos, as well as workshopped premier plays with playwright a.k. payne. I’ve also had the pleasure of workshopping self-written plays, the moment before, and the father, the son, and the holy spirit with Tarrel Alvin McCraney and Rudi Goblen later to be produced at the Yale Cabaret.

I act, I write, I sing, I dance, I love to cook, and pet my cat, Eloise. I’m grateful for all that has come and all that is yet to.
